Analysing today’s Renewable Energy Market for tomorrow

 

2010 is shaping up to be just as dynamic as 2009, with significant policy changes in the pipeline. On the 26 February, the Government announced its intention to split the Renewable Energy Target into separate large and small-scale schemes from 1st January 2011. This proposal had a profound effect on the REC price, which in response rallied from low $30s to $47 at the end of March.

The first three RQR Series 2010 events were well attended by many prominant figures of the renewable energy industry, with representation from Government departments, the Office of Renewable Energy Regulator, renewable project operators and developers, energy retailers, REC agents and traders, legal and financial firms. Presentations provided valuable insight into the Government's proposed Enhanced Renewable Energy Target, and how this may affect various facets of the renewable energy market this year and beyond.
   

 
   

REC QUARTERLY REVIEW - SERIES 2008
