Green Energy Markets released a report for Environment Victoria, analysing options for replacing Hazelwood Power Station in Latrobe Valley, Victoria. Hazelwood is the dirtiest power station in Australia, and the use of gas or renewable generation in its stead could lead to a 12% emissions reduction per annum. It was found that this could occur within 2 years, without compromising the state's electricity supply. The full report can be found here:
