The Climate Group February 2011
The Climates Groups Annual Report (produced by Green Energy Markets), found that Greenhouse gas emissions from energy-use fell in 2010 by 2.2 per cent, or 6.6. million tonnes of emissions, the decrease comes on top of a 1.8 per cent decrease from the previous year.

Fast-tracking Victoria’s clean energy future to replace Hazelwood Power Station

Green Energy Markets released a report for Environment Victoria, analysing options for replacing Hazelwood Power Station in Latrobe Valley, Victoria. Hazelwood is the dirtiest power station in Australia, and the use of gas or renewable generation in its stead could lead to a 12% emissions reduction per annum. It was found that this could occur within 2 years, without compromising the state's electricity supply.

The Climate Group's Summer report (produced by Green Energy Markets) released on March 21, found that overall emissions from electricity produced in Australia's eastern states fell by 1.6% compared to last Summer.
